Desmond Polk has recently been recruited by Western Michigan, Valpo and Wright State. It appears that he is not a for sure high major anymore. I love his ability. He would be awesome in GB. I hope they are in contact. Jones Polk Clafin Taylor Thompson Now that would be an athletic and interesting 5 man class. That would be a good get for GB. It sounds like the WIAA has ruled him ineligible to play this year for Catholic Memorial though which is unfortunate for him.

I'm surprised that GB is recruiting so many JUCO players in the fall, especially guys that don't seem to have a lot of D1 options yet.
With that said this staff has pulled some nice pieces from the JUCO ranks so they seem to know what's going on.
It's a new world and I probably need to adjust to signing JUCO guys in the fall before they hopefully put up huge seasons.

So you are saying when you recuit JUCO guys and get them to commit this early you are taking a gamble they will pay off? I mean its like that for all recruiting but seems a little different on the JUCO path

So you are saying when you recuit JUCO guys and get them to commit this early you are taking a gamble they will pay off? I mean its like that for all recruiting but seems a little different on the JUCO path In the Darner era Cooper, Hurdle, Bains, Parham, Smith, Tank and McNair all signed in the spring. McCloud committed in the middle of winter but couldn't sign until the spring. All recruiting is a gamble. GB is bringing in JUCO players who fit a profile even if they don't have great stats or many other D1 offers. GB, Detroit, UIC and CSU are going after JUCO players now. The other programs in the league are going after high school players. For the previous 30 years GB would have been trying to sign high school players at this time and not JUCO guys with no offers. I can see the logic, get them before they blow up. It is just substantially different that what I and maybe many fans are used to.

The JUCO market is overlooked. There are some hidden gems when you get beyond the elite top-tier that have been on the recruiting radar since high school. In the last 20-30 years, prep schools have been getting more and more players that had gone the JUCO route. There's a unique niche Darner and Company is tapping into. With the size of the Nix senior class bringing in some JUCOs is a good decision. Prior to those commits and the transfers into the program the cupboard looked thin after 2019-20. Now it's time to bring in a developmental big.

Linc has had success in the JUCO ranks so he may be turning his attention to that. Thoughts? Since Chevalier is the only sophomore on the roster I'd imagine at least two if not three JUCO players with two years left to balance the classes a bit. So, three JUCOs it is (so far). Hopefully the final scholarship goes to a high school prospect. Thompson, Claflin, or Antetokounmpo would be nice.

Any of Thompson, Clafin or Antetokounmpo would be excellent for GB. I don't get the impression that GB is in the lead for Thompson. I also didn't get the impression that anyone thinks Antetokounmpo is going to go to college for long if at all. It is the only reason I can think that a guy of his size and skill isn't getting more looks. I saw that Prep Hoops did an article on Clafin recently, trying to get him more publicity. Good for him, bad for GB! Either way any or all of these guys would be awesome to have in GB.

Gott figure he is going to try to play himself into more D1 offers. Can’t blame him. Would be great to have a kid from Southern Door. Hopefully it would take the monkey off Linc’s back and we can finally get some local Wisconsin kids to come to GB

One benefit of going heavy JUCO for this class is that GB should have plenty of PT available for guys in the class of 2021. There are a lot of good area guys that I would love to see GB land. By being wrapped on 2020 kids early GB can really focus this spring on the 2021 class. Nau, Dailey, Wonders, Joplin and Meyer all look like nice players in that class.

www.verbalcommits.com/players/patrick-suemnickDoes anyone know if this guy has been around GB at all? He has an interesting game for a player of his size. He's from the area and is at Don Bosco Prep this year. Seems like a guy who is going to get on the glass which GB needs.

Seems like he is working on the right stuff. At his size if he can face up while still rebounding he would really have something at the mid major level. Hopefully GB is paying attention. I would hate seeing him become a solid player and end up at CSU or IUPUI. Also, on Twitter I just read that Donovan Ivory is leaving UMass Lowell. It sounds like a family issue might be bringing him closer to home. He would be an interesting walk on prospect at this stage.

Claffin won't be signing because of his walk on status. With Tank possibly missing the year that puts a wrench in recruiting. Don't get me wrong, I like Tank. If they were planning on him being gone and having that scholarship to get another player of need then things might not work out as planned.

A 6’10” Canadian just came on the market. Want to help our rebounding? Ha.
