Congrats ladies!!.....With all of the illnesses and injuries to the roster, it's a testament to KB and the team for grinding this one out when it seemed that the season was about to go into the toilet. Let's make a run in the HL tourney and not be on that bubble (which IMO they would be out right now).

Once again onto the Horizon League Championship game for a team that only has 3 seniors departing with 3 excellent freshman coming for the team to reload for 2017-2018. Now comes the big game tomorrow against a team that will give GB a run for their money. Truly believe if the women suffer an upset they will go to the NCAA tournament, but stranger things have occurred. Go Phoenix as they compete once again for the automatic bid to the big dance.

As of now, according to Charlie Creme, GB is a #9 seed versus Temple. But how far would they drop if they still got a bid (that is if they lost today to UDM)? Currently, GB's RPI is #26, SOS is #97 and Jeff Sagarin has them #29. www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/bracketology

On to the big dance as the Phoenix Women once again claim the automatic bid to the 2016-2017 NCAA Tournament by beating Detroit Mercy 64 to 52 today!!!! Now lets hope GB doesn't receive a 8th or 9th seed as ESPN predicts. Phoenix fans will have to wait until Monday, March 13th to find out their seeding/location.

8th seed for the women's basketball team. Playing in South Bend against 9th seed Purdue. Should be an interesting game for the women. Hopefully they play up to their capabilities. If Lindstrom and Wellnitz can stay out of foul trouble along with Terry giving some quality minutes GB should give Purdue a run for the money. AND i they can play the game against Purdue as they did the last time they were in South Bend, GB will come away with a win and more than likely will play Notre Dame..

Based on 3 conference losses and a loss to a bad UW team, I though they would get a lower seed, but I would love to see a GB-ND rematch if they get past Purdue.
