I know I have been hard on Darner this year, as a fan I am not used to losing. I think up tempo basketball is only fun when they are winning. When they aren't winning and questionable things happen in a game it is very easy to jump on the coach.
I did spend some time over the weekend doing further review into Darner's style and what he wants to do. You can see the guys doing the things that he wants. At this point it really just seems to be about comfort with the college game and additional player development. So while I won't promise that I will be positive immediately after any losing games, I can say that I feel better about Coach's ability to teach his game to the players.

After last years off season I am not looking forward to this years. Transfers/leaving school are always bound to happen, just sucks when it happens to your teams.

I have wrote this many times in the past but I think UIC is one of the most selfish teams and Dixon in particular is one of the more selfish immature players.
This tweet and instagram have two things that side with me. One, is just writing it. It has come see me while you can overtones. Two is the quote: "because I’m deciding to take my talent else where." Ok, LeBron you take your talent elsewhere. Maybe go to south beach or Akron just to complete the circle.
I think Dixon is a great talent but I wrote on this board that UIC is going to have a hard time keeping their talent because they have several guys who think they should be the man and if you aren't winning big those guys are going to start listening to outside influences. Santos was first to go and one year later here goes Dixon. Mix in Odiase graduating and they have some holes to fill. Their local recruiting has really dropped off so I will be curious to see what they do going forward. They still have plenty of talent, just not like they had.
With all of this said they will probably go out and win the HL tournament now because every time I write smack on a message board it usually ends up burning me.

I agree completely with you GBPhienix1, the future looked bright for UIC.
I also agree with uscg2012 about after the season and the potential for players transferring. I only hope for GB that we keep all our players. I really think in the off season some of these young kids are gonna get after it. I also think Sandy could potentially be Player of the Year in league.

The league’s worst team is losing one of its best players

Chatman declared for the NBA as well. He’s probably not coming back.

I have no clue who Jeremiah Ferguson is. I do know the two Detroit guys. That isn't good for them when two of their better players from a last place team are leaving. I think you can safely sharpie Detroit into last place for next year.

Carson Williams leaving is a big loss for NKU in my opinion. There aren't many guys with his size and athletic ability floating around the HL. He is a match up problem. Much more so than if they start playing 4 guards for example.

I wonder if Green Bay will have any transfers, especially with so many young guys...
