Four games in five days for GB away from home early for the Phoenix. Although only two are true road games. I know I am going to Reno, now I just need to figure out how to get to Moscow, Idaho without spending too much more time and money on this trip.

Any word anywhere of when the schedule might be released? While I'm resigned to the fact the final home game will likely be against a D2 team, I'm interested in who the other road opponent is. That will also set up most of the 2013-14 schedule.

Great find ttusft. I'm guessing the last thing will be a home game against a D2 team
Interesting that, as it stands right now, the 'Nix will have 7 of their first 9 away from home

Tennessee Tech was 19-14 last year, with an RPI of 137, and lost in the 1st round of the CIT. However, they've since graduated almost their entire rotation, including 20 PPG scorer and NBA 2nd round pick Kevin Murphy.
They do return 1 top player in 6'5" wing Jud Dillard, who averaged 17 PPG and 8.5 RPG. All other returners averaged under 4 PPG.
The Golden Eagles also add former SMU starting PG Jeremiah Samarippas. He was ran off by new SMU coach Larry Brown and has received a waiver to play immediately. The former SMU team captain should provide a huge boost in stabilizing this young team.

No doubt a tough schedule. Wardle has been fearless scheduling. I like that this schedule, while tough, has games the Phoenix are now good enough to win. Besides playing 4 games in 5 days out west, the games are spaced out nicely, giving the team ample practice time. That games at Idaho will be tough to win as the teams 4th game in 5 days, and Idaho will be solid. The one curious thing to me is why the Phoenix are playing Illinois-Springfield on December 30th. That's a Packers Sunday. What time will the Nix play this game? A night game on a Sunday possibly? Or are they expecting the Packers game that day to be bumped to a different time slot? I love that the team is done playing on the road after December 12th. 3 weeks of practicing at home to get ready for conference play. Here's Rob Demovsky on the schedule: Green Bay completes schedule; early road test awaitsI fixed the headline for dolt editor Mike Vandermause, he continues to be oblivious to the fact that the team changed its name to Green Bay several years ago. Does he still call Wisconsin the UWM Badgers? When the team starts making headlines, people will google the team, but his papers stories won't be found because this clown can't get the name right in the headline. ESPN recognizes the correct name, this is the year for Vandermause to get up to speed too.

Packers are AT Minnesota on Dec 30. I don't see them changing the game to a night game....

Packers are AT Minnesota on Dec 30. I don't see them changing the game to a night game.... I aware of that, but fans are far more likely to stay home and watch the Packers versus a hated rival in a game that will likely have major playoff/playoff seeding implications than watch the Phoenix play a meaningless game versus a D2 team. I see no way the Phoenix put this game up against the Packers. It's just unnecessary. GB had the UIC game up against a Packers playoff game last year, and the Phoenix moved that game to an 11:00 AM start. That game actually drew a surprisingly decent crowd. I hope they work this out, as I'd like to watch the Nix at home as many times as I can.

The Horizon League's ESPN Schedule is out, and Green Bay is 1 of 3 HL teams to appear on its family of Networks 11 times! Good to see the national media recognizes the rise of the Phoenix.I love road games on TV, and this year the Nix will be on ESPNU @ CSU and UWM. Valpo @ Green Bay will also be on ESPNU, that could be an epic game with the conference title on the line.
