Your right, lots of info. Rob loaded us up so much that I hope you don't mind if I break the topics up a little bit, as I think we'll have plenty of discussion.

Great to read the guys are getting right back to work. To think they travelled back from eastern Ohio late Tuesday, and Sykes was in the gym by 7:30 Wendsday? Very impressive.
I see 4 players who could make huge improvement with a good offseason of lifting and skill work; Brown, Sykes, Armstead, and Mays.
Hope the possibility of Big Red transferring is just speculation. I think he can contribute if needed over the next 2 years. His teammates seem to love his energy. Experience and continuity are very important in fielding a winning program. I realize defections are a normal part of college basketball, I just hope we have 11 or 12 returning players. The last time we had 10 returners we finished with an rpi of 71.

Big Red is really well liked by his teammates and everyone in the program. That said, with Brown and Coogs returning, and the development of Mays, his minutes would be further diminished. I would expect to see Arenz red-shirt, and Big Red to move on to a D-2 program, like Winona St? Or even Point?
Obviously Rob hinted at current scholarship players leaving the program. Assuming Coogs, Brown and Sykes are locks to return, I will rank those currently on the roster that I think would leave, opening up the opportunity to offer that certain PG in So. Wisconsin no one has mentioned to date (not to mention keep Jarvus W and or Cole Stefan):
Heuer Turner T Johnson Humphrey Armstead Mays Cerroni
Thoughts?

personally i would put armstead right below heuer because seeing his family moved to california, i believe it was, he is so far away now. the only one i can see transfering is heuer because he might have arenz ahead of him too next year. like gb bb is back said, i hope he doesn't leave because every team needs a guy like him on it.

I think I've mentioned Carrington Love before. I've only seen him play once. What's your opinion of him? Turner's spot is interesting on your list. I'm guessing you think he might want to be closer to home while he recovers from his injury? That makes sense, but it sounds like he is super dedicated to the program. I could see Johnson leaving if he still thinks of himself as a starting PG. Siggy has a good point about Armstead. I could see him looking to transfer to whatever school his brother commits to, so they could re-unite. Hope that doesn't happen, I really like aaron's potential. The more I think about, I'd like Aaric here as a perimeter defensive stopper. I was thinking that him and Fouse would be redundant at the same position, but I'm starting to think we'll need a quicker PF to match-up against players like Anton Grady. Fouse would be perfect for that. HS hoops guru tweeted again this week what a steal Fouse is for GB. He would be a nightmare match-up for most PF's. I also hope Jarvis Williams returns. Don't forget he scored 17 against Duquesne before the injury hit that he tried to play through, unsuccessfully.

I'd like to see Jarvis back. I think we have a real nice 3 year window in the next 3 years so I would go for it. I believe in Wardle's ability to recruit and reload in any year so I figure bring Williams back since you know he can be a solid, if not big, contributor next year.

In the last two games big red showed he has a little game. At YSU he came in stone cold and off a set play drained a 3. At UIC he had some great hustle. One thing that you can tell is that Wardle and the team love seeing him succeed. He looks like a guy who would put up really good offensive numbers at a d2 school. I am not encouraging him to leave. There is no doubt he is #4 on the depth chart up front so I wouldn't blame him but he certainly can play despite a numbers game that might not let him.
I think keeping Jarvis would be a good move for the win now window. Yet I get the feeling they won't. They had him go through senior day and they are on the road recruiting when they don't have scholarships.
Turner was a team captain and tough player. I would love to see him stay at GB. Johnson might not be a starter but I think he has enough game to stay as pg/combo bench guard. I think Armstead and Mays are high ceiling guys that have to be kept. The only guy I am not sold on is Humphrey. He has a little game on the drive and he works on defense. Yet I see him being buried back on the bench next year as Stefan, Armstead and Turner enter/grow/recover.
I think Arenz is a for sure red shirt. I am not sure about Fouse and what position he will play with next year's team.

I agree that Arenz could benefit from a RS. He put on some pounds when he was down with the injury. Some is good upper body muscle, but some is backfat. He has some Cougill to him, in that he's bulky, doesn't run well, and is very smart and skilled. However, if Big Red were to leave, I doubt we'd have the depth to RS Arenz. I hope it didn't sound like I was advocating the idea of Turner, Johnson, or anyone else to leave. I hope they all stay, as I see a role for all of them. They only player I advocated transferring was Troy Snyder, as he didn't seem to be on the same page as everyone else. The only guy I am not sold on is Humphrey. He has a little game on the drive and he works on defense. Yet I see him being buried back on the bench next year as Stefan, Armstead and Turner enter/grow/recover. I have to admit I was disappointed in him the last several games. He just wasn't the lockdown perimeter defender I was hoping for. He was beaten off the dribble way too much. I would have been more than willing to put up with his shotput shooting style if he was our version of D'Aundray Brown. I was over-optimistic in that projection.

I like Carrington Love a lot. Is very athletic and effective at breaking down defenses. Very similar game as K Sykes. Just don't think you'd get a pure PG to come to GB now with KS locked in for 3 years. Perhaps a combo from the '12 class, but not a PG?
A lot depends on Cole Stefan's availability.

Just wondering if anyone thinks Alec Brown would ever consider transfering to a High-Major D1? I dont think he would but I'm sure alot of coaches at that level would love a 7'1" skilled big who they could mold for a year before playing him. Plus he's on the NBA radar so it might benefit him in the long run.
I am really looking forward to the next couple years for Green Bay and think that their NCAA Tourney drought is coming to an end soon!

Don't know if I'm reading too much into this, but I would think this means Jarvis is not coming back.

Plus he's on the NBA radar so it might benefit him in the long run. I don't think he'd consider this option because he'd have to sit out a year. That would really hurt him. He gets plenty of exposure here. The Horizon League has had NBA 1st round draft picks 2 straight years. Brandon Wood transferred to MSU as a grad student so he didn't have to sit out a year, but the move still seems to have hurt him. He would have been better off staying at Valpo playing in a system he was already established in.
