Linc Darner extended his first scholarship offer as new Green Bay Phoenix coach to State Champion Stevens Point High School PG Trevor Anderson, a 2016 recruit.

Seems to have a good mix of penetrating ability and an outside shot. Him with Mooney could solve our outside shooting woes.

Good to see that Linc isn't wasting any time in trying to bring some in-state talent. Granted it won't be until 2016, but maybe he can bring in an in-state kid or two during the 2015 spring period. We're over halfway through.....Hopefully we will see signings next week.

I like the passing ability. with an offense where ur gonna have quick possessions makes sense to have a great passer Has the ability to hit the three is a plus

updated list of offers NCAA Division I scholarship offers from Albany, Drake, Green Bay, Lehigh, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Toledo. I would hope that Green Bay can compete with the teams on that list for recruits. I know we lost some recruits to Drake this past year. It is time to correct that situation.

I wonder what's leading to the offers from Lafayette and Lehigh. Patriot League is OK, but Horizon is better. I'm not sure what the interest would be in the Patriot League for someone from Stevens Point when there is better available closer to home.

This would be a big land for Linc and the new coaching staff. He is a kid that is getting overlooked IMO and time to sell him the benefits of a full ride, in state scholarship 1.5 hrs from home.

They are on him and recruiting him harder than anyone. The problem is that the kid is dead set on Wisconsin, including as a walk-on.

I hope he doesn't see himself as a Zach Schowalter.....If Bo had a little more talent and depth at G (outside of Gasser and Koening), Schowater would only be getting token minutes instead of playing the minutes he got last season. With the talent Bo is bringing in, Schowalter and Anderson probably would not see many minutes.
Go with GB Trev and see where your talent can take you and have your education paid for. But if it's purely for getting the UW degree, maybe having a chance of getting to deep NCAA runs and possibly another Final Four regardless of playing time, you can't fault that I guess.
