Oakland seems to be jelling as a team. They are better than their record initially indicated. They played 6 games against Big 5 conference schools in their NC slate (Iowa St, Mich St, Arizona, Pitt, Clemson and Maryland; 3 of those teams are ranked in the top 15), and they looked competitive in 3 of them. If you have a good PG (Felder) and one good post player (Petros) who play 36+ minutes a game each, you can do some damage to teams provided that both of those players stay healthy and not get in foul trouble. At this rate, they may be that mid-level team in the HL that can make a run in the HL conference tourney, win 3-4 games in a row, and steal the automatic NCAA bid from GB or Valpo.......a la UW-Milwaukee last season.

Oakland has beaten GB, Valpo and Cleveland State. They are now one of the front runners to win the league. Should be some separation after the top 4 in the final standings. Oakland has slowed down to the Horizon League style of play and have a great trio in Felder, Petros and a stopper in Dante Williams.

Oakland has lost every single road game this year, they lost at Detroit by 20. They're home/road splits are as extreme as you ever see. I don't see them defending well enough to be a factor on the road.
Khalil Felder is the best player in the league because his scoring punch is combined with elite court vision, but he just doesn't have enough help yet.

He is very good, top 5, but the best player over Sykes? Hell I'd take Fouse too over him.
