Quick turnaround for the team as Wright State comes to town for a 1:00 tip tomorrow. Sorry I didnt have much time to write a preview over on the fan site but this is it in a nut shell: TV Note: This game is the Horizon League Game of the Week and can be seen on TV across the Midwest in high definition on the following affiliates: WADL (Detroit), MyYTV (Youngstown), MyNDY (Indianapolis), Comcast SportsNet Chicago, SportsTime Ohio (Cleveland), Time-Warner Cable Sports32 (Wisconsin) and Time Warner Dayton. Jim Barbar and Joel Cornette will have the call. The game will also be streamed live on ESPN3.com. Festival Foods Family Game: Discounted tickets ($9 Zone C Adult tickets, $7 youth tickets), $1 hot dogs, $1 small sodas, as well as a Green Bay mini-autograph basketball giveaway to the first 1,000 youth in attendance. Also, shoot free throws with the Phoenix after the game. Inside the series: Tied 22-22. Wright State has won 4 in a row and 10 of the last 13, including a 60-50 victory in the Horizon League Tournament last season in Dayton. Head Coach Billy Donlon is a perfect 3-0 against Green Bay as Head Coach of the Raiders. Green Bay is 7-2 all-time against Wright State at the Resch Center. Mini preview

Congrats on the win guys.
That was a good game and a very close finish.
A few Wright St. fans rub me the wrong way so I am happy to see them go down!

That was fun!! 20-3 run to get back in the game. Alec Brown with a school record 11 blocks, and Keifer Sykes continues his phenomenal play. Great game

A very interesting game. I'm going to say 12 turnovers in the first 12 minutes(21 for the game plus the 2 40' shots with 1 sec.). I'm including air balls, stepping on the OB line and shooting 40' shots with 1 second on the shot clock. The last 8 minutes was just the opposite and and we had it down to 4 or 6 points at one time. Second half started out like the 1st half but it only lasted for a few minutes. Down 15 Wardle called a time out and they started chipping away. At the 8 minute mark I told a friend that we could win this one with FT's. (we were down 10) but Wright State had 6 fouls and GB 1. I would say the last 4 minutes was the best I've ever seen them play. Ref's many time were confused. They stopped the game 2-3 to watch replays and one would call a foul against GB while another was calling it on W.St. Huddle after replay and 2-3 minutes later a call? Alec, Sykes, Kam, and Brennen all came up big. Also Johnson and Humphrey's (22 minutes) gave us quality minutes off the bench. Armstead and Baker also played hard. I liked it when Johnson and Sykes played in the back court together. We never had a lead until the 49 second mark. Overall probably a ugly win, but it was a win and should have been a confidence builder. Wardle may have coached his best game. He used a lot of combinations when we played poorly until he found one that worked. If they played a whole game like the last 4-5 minutes nobody in our conference could touch them. Way to go Phoenix

What a game. A perfect game to check out Rob Demovsky's game blog to get a feel for the flow of the action. The Phoenix played their worst basketball of the season early. They were sloppy and didn't match WSU's physical play. The team was splintering and in-fighting. WSU built a mountain of a lead that looked inclimbable. Baker and Cougill begged the unit to stick together during timeouts. Unsung hero Josh Humphrey provided a spark. His length, quickness, versatility, and intelligence keyed the defense and gave the Nix another athlete on the glass. The team seemed to rally around his enthusiasm. Cerroni hit a pair of 3's to trim the lead, but it was the one he missed the provided the final fuel to the fire. Cerroni caught an elbow the the face, and was pouring blood. Inadvertent or not, that is an automatic technical under the new rule installed a few years ago. However, this unbelievably incompetent officiating crew couldn't make the call despite minutes of huddling, reviewing the play, and more huddlling. This worked the crowd into an angry frenzy. GB finally matched WSU's physical play, and the result was WSU fouled non-stop. The Phoenix attacked the basket offensively and locked down defensively. Each of Brown's 11 blocks seemed to be a game saver. A very important win for a team that desperately needed a win. Here's Rob Demovsky's game story.box score
