I have been there since the beginning attending most games since 1969 with the exception of an 8 year period when I worked out of state. I took my son to games when he was 2 years old and now take my grandson. (1973 Grad)
This is the same name I used in the old forum.
Thanks for starting up this forum.

Was FightPhoe93 on the old board.
1993 graduate of UWGB. I'm not as hardcore a fan of the team as I was during the '90s but still try to follow them as best as I can from enemy territory (Milwaukee).
Always remember getting the chance to play pickup ball with guys like Tony Bennett, Ben Johnson, Marquis Hines, etc. while I was going to school at GB. I lost a 3 point shooting contest to Tony Ciaravino (played on some GB teams in the early '90s) back in some sort of pseudo all student campus olympics back in 1990.
Used to hang out in former player Chris Yates dorm room all the time back in '89-90 as I was friends with his roommate. I was probably there more than Chris (he was never there when I visited). Sad to see that Chris pretty much let his life fall apart to the point that he murdered his own mother a few years ago.

Did you realize at that time that you were playing with 3 future coaches? Ben should be getting his own program any time now. Marquis is building a HS program to look out for at Milwaukee Homestead. He has 2 players, Luke Worthington and LaMonte Bearden, who are future D1 players.

Graduated from GB in 2010. Played for three years under TK.
Started my career in the area and will be a lifelong fan. Love the direction Wardle is taking the program.
Followed the old forum but never posted. Will continue to read, but doubtful I will post much.

I was NixPhanatic on the old board. I posted occasionally, but not very often, though I read the board everyday. I plan on reading and keeping up with this one daily.
Was a casual fan of the Phoenix as a kid. Became a little bit more interested in high school, as I was never a big fan of UW. I love rooting for the little guy, so attaching to GB was a perfect fit. I really got on board when I started going to school there in 2005. Graduated from GB in 2010. The past few years I have made it to as many games as possible, with two trips down to Indy for the conference tourney.

I am a 2006 graduate of GB. I also went back and re-graduated in 2009. So, every year I was there Tod Kowalalczyk was the coach... I know...
Was really excited they hired Wardle, and now have to follow the Phoenix from down the road in enemy territory (just north of Milwaukee).
I think I posted on the old board for like 3 months under this name. I used to post a lot on the JSOnline forums, then the Sportsbubbler, and now the Badger State Sports forums (same name there).

I've been around a while. Went to school at the old Deckner Campus (Now Deckner School, used to be 2yr UWGB). Been a long time fan but didn't get season tickets until John Bennet gave me his, and took them over when he died. They were great court side seats at old Arena, but he couldn't handle watching his son's team play. I think Wardle is one of the best coaches out there and hope he sticks around. Like the new start to games with both Dick and Brian speaking about UWGB. Also currently like the Taking Care of Business pregame video. Have 7 season tickets together in my family. Go Phoenix

I see we have added a number of new members lately, I just wanted to let them know that we'd love to hear how you become a Phoenix fan, and how you found this site? Welcome aboard to all the newcomers.

I've changed my username in excitement for the new season. Since everyone is aware that Green Bay basketball is back, I thought I'd retire that moniker.
As always I'd be interested in hearing about how we've landing new members, and what lead to there Phoenix fandom.

I wanted to update board members on my status. Our family has moved from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Eugene, Oregon. It has been a challenging time and will be posting more now that family health issues have improved.
I will remain the TheTulsaWarrior, the first person to give the Nix an online presence. Many thanks to those who have kept things going and improved the effort.

Looking for my old buddy GBBISWAYBACK.......... Hear you are on this site somewhere. Ok I still have to pay my wager for last seasons over under. Will do so before Christmas. I think the Phoenix will be good this year. ... But lets not get crazy.. over under for total wins is 20.5 including any NCAA or NIT births. Will not accept any 3rd rate tourney they will probably be involved in though. Bet is the same as always. I'm sure because you are still wearing your Phoenix gunderoos that you will take the over. I've been a Phoenix backer when Dick was here .. Not Psuedo K.. Warming to Wardle.

Great to see you here, this board could use an antagonist. I'm GB bb is back! I'll take that bet! Now, can I just get some clarification on what the bet is? Do I just need 21 wins for victory, or do I need 21 plus a major postseason tournament birth? Or is it that wins only count for postseason if they're from a major postseason tourney? Guaranteeing a major postseason is ambitious, we won't see many mid-majors with 1 senior there. However, if a team is going to do that, it will be this one. Getting a NIT at-large invite is tough in the new format that features a smaller field and is skewed to high-major programs. No excuses though, I like our chances of a major postseason tourney birth if our studs stay healthy.

GBBISWAYBACK-- The bet is simply 20.5....... Counts conference tourneys and any NCAA or Nit Births.... Although those completly doubtful at this point. So we just go by the total wins at the end of the year. Remember any third or 4th rate tourneys they get in don't count at end..... You know the kind where Psuedo Coach K would act like he was in the final 4 of the NCAA's .... P.S I miss the old posting days of the Less GAzette

Hello all, I was not a member of any previous board, nor was I really aware of any. I found this site from doing an Internet search.
I am a 1985 graduate of UWGB and had season tickets during my college years and for several years thereafter, including even after moving 500 miles away from home. I always gave the tickets away to friends or whatever. I finally dropped my season tickets in the year when they transitioned from the Brown County Arena to the Resch Center. My gripe was that for 20 years I was in like Row F center court, and then in the new Resch, they were going to slot me far higher and toward one end of the stadium, which I thought really sucked.
I remember they were going to implement some sort of "point system" where ticketholders got better seats the more points they had. You got points by being an alumni, donating $XX dollar amounts, etc. I would imagine they have scrapped that by now, correct? I miss going to games at the BCA with 4,000 plus fans.
Anyone remember coach Dick Lien and I think it was like a 5-23 season? In the post-Bennett/Heidemann era the club certainly does seem to be stuck in neutral, but I'm still a fan. I live in Minnesota now and only get to about 3 games a year in person. Fortunately, thanks to a good cable package and the Internet, I do get to see a good chunk of games via those methods.
