Per Andre Gavin, the Phoenix have added transfer sharpshooter Cole Stefan. He was a highly recruited Minnesota HS player. I'll add more later. High quality addition.
Welcome to Green Bay Cole!

I just looked at some things online. As a walkon it seems like a good addition. Not too bad of numbers for a freshman and this team really lacks shooters.
It looks like he left LaSalle after his freshman year, does anyone know what he did in the 1st semester?

If he left after his Freshman year will he be eligible for 3 years starting next year?

If he left after his Freshman year will he be eligible for 3 years starting next year? He still has to sit out at his new school for 2 semesters. This Article by Andrew Gavin states Stefan is eligible to play for the spring semester next year. Technically, I think he eligible at the completion of the fall semester, making him available for the 2 late December conference games they play each year. Not many details available of why he left La Salle, or if he was in school anywhere this year. Some have alluded to some health issues at La Salle, but I don't know the details. As Gavin mentions, he was an ESPN grade 90 out of HS. He played fairly well last year, and saw his role increase as the season progressed. He made 37% from 3, and had a 2 to 1 assist to turnover ratio. The A-10 is a very tough league. I'm happy to have him. Gavin mentions he is a walk-on, which makes sense as there is no scholarship openings at this point. Is he promised a scholarship for next year? His situation is somewhat similar to Tyler Brown's, and he did not go on scholarship. Does the addition of Stefan change how we use the final 2012 scholarship?

Rob Demovsky's article today answers all of our Cole Stefan questions. Thanks Rob! Now that we know all the circumstances behind the move, I'm more excited about this addition. hopefully he can avoid future concussions.

Sounds like a very interesting player. If he can stay healthy he has a chance to be a very good addition. I like the way Brian has added players and gone out of his way to help others. I don't know Brian , but I'm glad he's here.
