The Phoenix host Idaho Thursday night. Last chance to see the team live until Jan. 12. Idaho is wildly inconsistent, and lost in OT at Wright St tonight on a buzzer beating 3. At their best, Idaho won at Oregon St by a dozen. A week later Oregon St beat UIC by 42. Should be a very competitive game, and be a good measuring stick to where we fit in this conference.
I'm predicting a breakout game for Aaron Armstead in this one.

Brian Dickmann's preview. Check out his video of WSU's gamewinner over Idaho. Green Bay Athletic's preview.Rob Demovsky's preview. From Rob: Senior forward Jarvis Williams, who has a stress fracture in his right foot, is expected to miss at least another four to six weeks. Wardle said it's possible Williams could return by FebruaryTough news. I expected Jarvis to be our 2nd most productive player this year. Instead, he struggled trying to play through the injury, and now will miss at least half the season. Without him, we lose defensive size, and it prevents them from dominating the glass. If he is deemed fit to play before the end of the season, I think that takes away the possibility of a medical redshirt. How effective will he be upon his return after sitting out 2 months? I feal bad for Jarvis, he really put in the work in the offseason to put himself in position for a big year. This really puts the pressure on Aaron Armstead to develop quickly.

Green Bay enters tonights game with a RPI at 81, according to realtimerpi. Get a win tonight, and enter conference play in the top 100. Impressive considering we have 6 losses.

Nice win for the Phoenix. The impressive part about it was they won without being carried by Brown for a change. After back to back 20 point games, Brown struggled and was in foul trouble all night. He played just 14 minutes, with 2 points, 1 rebound, 2 turnovers, and 4 fouls. Brennan Cougill was a monster tonight. He was the go to scorer in the post down the stretch. BC finished with 19 points 19 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. He was outstanding defensively in the post. Lots of others contributed tonight too. Baker and Cerroni each hit 3 from beyond the arc. Heuer made some defensive plays, Turner kept balls alive on the glass. Greg Mays had a couple of blocks, and an absolutely monster dunk that brought down the house. It was just ridiculous how high he was, great feed from Cougs too. boxscoreRob Demovsky's game blogMerry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!
