Per Jerrelle Deberry, Green Bay has made an official offer. Scout/writer Evan Flood recent called Deberry "a star".

Ryan James tweeted Green Bay has added offers to Minnesota 6'9" F Paul Friendshuh and 6'1" PG Jordan Dembley. Both play AAU for Pump N Run.

Finke received offers from Wisconsin and Iowa yesterday I guess that would knock Green Bay out of the running for Finke. However, if UW landed Finke it could open the door for Green Bay to land Paul Friendshuh. UW has shown interest in Friendshuh, and I'll speculate that he'd love a UW offer. His brother is on the UW rowing team. UW won't have room for both Finke and Friendshuh. Friendshuh is a still growing big man who could be sold on being the next Alec Brown. It's very important for Green Bay to get a center in the 2014 class. Here is a video of Friendshuh in AAU action this summer. I like what I see considering he is a 16 year old.

So is GB trying to "punch above their weight" or are other teams dropping down to get their guys? I know it has always been the case that GB needs to get in early to have a chance with kids but it seems like lately every guy they go after ends up with a higher offer. That is hard to compete with. I would really like to see them land a guy with a "better" offer but I can't see that happening until GB proves something on the court.

NY2LASports tweeted yesterday that 6'10" Trayvon Bunch took an unofficial to Green Bay this past week. Bunch is a true latebloomer. He has yet to play varsity basketball at Racine Horlick, yet he has shown enough athletism this summer to pick up a Depaul offer last week. A player with center length should be a priority in this class.

We're going after good talent. Also I think other schools have realized Wardle is a good judge of talent and when word gets out GB is looking at a player other schools want to take a close look too.

Agreed. Wardle and staff have done a terrific job identifying players on the rise. Sometimes they rise right past us, but that is OK. It's not like we're UW-Milwaukee who goes through the entire season with numerous openings because they can't find anyone who'll take their scholarships.

NY2LASports has tweeted that TJ Schlundt will visit Green Bay later this month. Here's some video of TJ Schlundt. He can really shoot it. However, what makes him unique from so many of the great shooters in Phoenix history is his length. Many of GB's past great shooters were in the 6'1"-6'2" range. Schlundt is a full 6'4" with very long arms and could still grow some more. With Schlundt's length, shooting skill, and dedication, I think he is someone Wardle and staff could develop into a great scorer instead of just a great shooter. TJ is a very focused young man, I could see him really appreciate Green Bay's distraction free campus.
