With the predictions, I just wonder how much consideration everyone is putting into Rotnei Clarke transfer from Arkansas to Butler. He is a senior point guard who will be lighting it up, I wouldn't be surprised if he averages 20ppg or more. He shot better than 50 percent from behind the arc his junior year at Arkansas and is considered one of the best, if not the best three point shooter in the nation.
Last year I hit extremly close on for the top half of the conference, I had Cleveland State and Valpo higher than most people thought and they produced. Also I had Detriot lower than what people thought and see what happened. I will be posting my predictions this weekend when I have more time making final adjustments.
Plus in addition we saw what Kyle Marhsall did in the NCAA tourney. Andrew Smith is a nice center for a horizon league team and even competes well against higher level opponents as we saw in the tourney as well.
They still have Nored who has started two years ago in the final four and was the 6th man last year and will allow them to start 2 point guards.
They had the top recruiting class in the league, Chrishawn Hopkins showed tons of potential with his athleticism last year especially in those short splurges in the tourney.
I don't see Butler stepping back in this league, they just have to much. Everyone needs to know who Rotnei Clarke is, because like it or not, they will by the new year. I wouldn't be shocked if he won conference players of the year. If he averaged over 20ppg against SEC competition, he should be able to do it against the Horizon league.
Chase Stigal is back and he was a starter on that team last year as well.
