I received an invite last week to The Season Ticket Pick-up Tailgate Party. Cool event. Pick up your season tickets, and get free food, drinks, a band, raffles, Phoenix Insider magazine, meet the team, inflatables for the kids, and autographs. My kids are really excited.
I read on other teams message boards lots of complaints that their teams are cutting back on benefits for season ticket holders. Green Bay continues to have an excellent ticket exchange program for season ticket holders. Events like this really show an appreciation for the season ticket holders. Marketing of this team seems to really be improving.
Any other season ticket holders planning on attending the event?

I didn't have tickets last year so I didn't get invited. I would say this kind of party would be a good way to win back fans who no longer buy. It is a cool retention idea but right now I would just chalk this up as another reason the ticket office is out of touch with how to grow the ticket base.

Ask and you shall receive, now your invited: Men's Basketball Tailgate, Marquette Ticket Sale Launch SetOpen to anyone who buys a Pick 5 package or a ticket to the Marquette game. This good idea just became great.
