www.usatoday.com/sports/college/mensbasketball/acc/story/2012-09-07/duke-thomas-sued-jewelry-2010/57684044/1 If Duke had knowledge (or shold have known) of Lance Thomas' extra benefits he received, would the NCAA strip Duke of their 2009-2010 title and would Butler be declared champions??....I remember Gordon Hayward's missed shot in the final 30 seconds and the half court shot that almost went in to end the game. One of the great NCAA championship games in the past 20 years. If Thomas would have paid his bills (or better yet, not get a line of credit for a 100K worth of jewlery until his season was over), this wouldn't be a story......

Butler wouldn't be champion, they would just strip Duke and there would be no champion for that year.
Definitely the best championship game I've seen tho. That shot was so close to going in, it would have been the greatest shot in the history of basketball!

The best thing that could have happened to college basketball would have been a Butler victory over Duke.

Not related to their tournament run but Butler just kicked Chrishwan Hopkins off their team. He was a pretty big piece of their team moving forward.
