This guy does this every year. Entertaining off season banter, if nothing else. Has the Nix coming in at 108 (#2 in the Horizon) www.collegesportsmadness.com/article/4486I agree with most of what he said about the Nix. I would hope that the #2 in the Horizon would be better than the CBI/CIT (which is his projection for GB). I know Detroit has loaded their schedule for a good RPI. I disagree that he had CSU come in as #3 in the Horizon (130 overall) I have Valpo, GB, and Detroit as my top 3- with YSU, MILW, and CSU in the next tier. My listings are in no particular order.

Thanks for posting that, and welcome to our forum Motowntitan.
I agree with your 1st tier of Valpo, Green Bay, and Detroit. I like CSU and YSU in that 2nd tier too. I don't think I'd have UWM in that 2nd tier though. I think there will be a big divide between the top 5 and bottom 4.
Valpo, Green Bay, and Detroit are all playing loaded non-conference schedules, but I think their RPI will still wilt because of the 4 lowly projected RPI teams in the conference.
An RPI of 108 is nice, but I'm hoping for a top 100 RPI finish. I think the greatly improved conditioning of Brennan Cougill will make him a force and allow GB to surprise some people.

Do we know if Cole Stefan is eligible to play at the start of the season or does he have to wait until semester break? I know BW was trying to get a wavier for Cole to play immediately.

We don't know yet, and might not find out anytime soon. We have a record number of players applying for a waiver this year. The NCAA seems to be prioritizing the waivers for players whose waiver affects a potential transfer. When Stefan's case is finally reviewed, I like his chances.

i noticed youngstown state being thrown around for a second consecutive tier 2 finish, this is a program that based on the recruiting budgets i have seen, is starting to move up in the conference. hopefully this continues with them. with having football at youngstown and the money they potentially have coming in there, with them being in the middle of fertile recruiting areas, this could be something to watch. i may be over optimistic, but it will only help the conference.

Nice to get a little attention even if this author doesn't have a lot of credibility amongst hoops fans.
I love GB's front court and point guards. The mystery of this season is what can Fouse, Humphrey, Cerroni and Muhammed give them on a consistent basis?
Right now I have Valpo as the clear favorite and in a league of their own. I have GB and Detroit next in line. After that I think a combo of YSU, CSU and uwm, with a bottom grouping of WSU, LU and UIC.

If Toledo finishes with a better RPI than Green Bay I'll eat my hat.
