Just like UIC, Detroit Mercy boasts a very experienced squad with 7 seniors. I am sure Antoine Davis is licking his chops after seeing how shifty guard Kevin Johnson ripped us to pieces just a few days ago.
Detroit Mercy is a real streaky team and can find itself in some trouble if things don’t go their way. Antoine Davis will try to do too much and take over in a bad way.
Hope to have close to a full strength squad on Thursday which should help.
This is a very winnable game for Green Bay. The guys just need to believe in themselves and each other to get it done.
Let’s go Green Bay!

DJ Harvey has started to come on strong for UDM and Madut Akec is a tough matchup as well. These are both strong guys and Akec in particular is relentless. He is in very good shape, plays hard all game long and does a little of everything. He will wear you down.
Davis still has games when he doesn't like to rely on his teammates much. If it is a game where he shares the ball they are harder to beat. Otherwise he will throw up some shots that can shoot them in our out of a game.
I haven't watched UDM lately but they were playing a zone the last time I saw them a few weeks ago. Manny Ansong is the zone buster on the baseline. It would be great to have Manny back.
Coach sounded confident that Claflin may return soon as well. In the case of Ryan and Randy they have to shoot every ball like they believe it is going in. If they can make 3's that is going to open some things up.
Kamari on ball has been good this year, it will be interesting to see if he can frustrate Davis who isn't much if any taller than Kamari.
I am hoping for a fun night of hoops and a bounce back after the UIC game.

Bud Light Night couldn't get people out to the Resch to see IUPUI but hopefully seeing the D1 leading scorer and back to back HL Freshman of the Week play makes for a respectable crowd. Maybe some people who wanted to check one game out this weekend will come Thursday instead of going over to the Kress pre Packer game. Try like crazy to get A. Davis into bad spots and make the other guys beat you initially. It would be a big upset but Detroit may just have one of those nights where they look out of sorts and GB can give them a game.

So far so good, cool way to end the half. But does anyone know why they’ve gone to just using the radio guys instead of CB and Stefaniak? The commentary is still fine, but the broadcast comes off lower in quality when all they do is show what the arena video board shows. I feel like the broadcasts have gotten worse over the past five years or so, which doesn’t really make sense since we have to pay for ESPN+ in order to watch them now. I’m trying not to complain too much, because at the end of the day I’m just glad we can still easily watch them, just something I’ve noticed. Now hopefully we can hold on to this lead.

Phoenix win 70-63! Donovan Ivory was scoreless in the 1st half but awesome down the stretch to carry GB. The Nix were hot early from 3, they're improving the shooting as the session wears on. Cade Meyer muscled for 16.

Yeah, they lost the lead when a bench heavy lineup couldn't score, but they were fresh down the stretch for a strong closeout. One oddity, IIRC, Kellogg scored all 12 of his points on jumpers instead of postups or put backs. A new wrinkle for him. The only hiccup down the stretch was when he missed the front end of a bonus free throw.

Oh wow I was worried but glad to see the guys pull through.
Our young team just beat a team full of seniors.
Real proud. Now let’s carry on and beat a short handed Oakland squad.

Davis got loose for a little bit but overall I'd say this was the most complete game for GB this year.
Multiple people scored, they did well on the glass, they fought through foul trouble, they only gave up 63 points and most importantly they didn't panic when they lost their lead halfway through the second half.
Games like this give a lot optimism that they could finish the season strong.

What a nice win! Amazing how a better shooting night (especially 3-point arc) helps things along, and Davis going 2 of 13 from the arc helps as well. I was worried about a 2nd half fade and it was nice to see the team stick with it and hold on for the win. Let's hope that confidence and good shooting stroke carries over into the Oakland game this Saturday

Good to see the haters don’t have a referendum about the programs future after a very strong win from the guys! Take a step back and realize this is one of the youngest teams in the NATION. We have seen good development already in half a year from multiple freshman. The future is bright

I have been missing Stefaniak and Barkley as well. I expect they found a way to save money, but it makes it seem small time. Much more enjoyable watching them play well. Three-point shooting was good and lots of players stepped up. Being closer to full strength certainly helped.

It was a great game and nice to see them overcome some adversity in the second half to win. I miss Ted and Cordero too. The radio call doesn’t translate well to TV at all. It a tech issue at the Resch that is getting worked out. The TV crew will be there for tomorrow’s game.

It a tech issue at the Resch that is getting worked out. The TV crew will be there for tomorrow’s game. I know there is only one Resch game left and the issue may be fixed by then. I still wanted to share something that a few friends of mine passed along when watching of late. With the radio broadcast being high above the arena the sounds of the game and crowd do not get picked up like it was in the past. Is there an easy fix for that? I think the two man radio crew makes the cross over of the call less noticeable, you are being too hard on yourself! Watching a UWM game for example with the solo radio guy being piped in on ESPN3 is a good example of the radio and tv being a noticeably different call.

Not being hard on myself, the calls are different. Radio requires me to talk more to paint the picture of what is happening, where TV doesn't need that. Two completely different styles. With the broadcast location for radio moving up top, it's harder to get the sounds of the arena. Where we are at the natural sound that would pick up on a microphone would pretty much be the PA System. It will sound better on the radio tomorrow as we broadcast from floor level at the Kress, since there isn't a spot to put us off the floor. Thanks for listening, I appreciate it! Let's hope for a good one tomorrow.
