It’s obviously to early but non conference season I have been thinking about it for a few weeks probably since uwgb lost really. they always play the badgers but who else will they play this year. Will there be more games? Green and white game will that happen?Fans or no fans.

I don't know who they will schedule but I will predict they play at the Resch next season with fans.

It is hard to say what contracts will look like after the covid year. Will Montana St come back to GB after that game didnt happen last year? The Northern Iowa game getting cancelled last year may just make that potential series voidable. Will the Horizon League keep a 20 game schedule or explore 18 or 22 games? I sure hope they can agree on a date to play in Madison.
A team I would like to see on the schedule in the next few years- St. Thomas

I thought Northern Illinois was scheduled to play in GB last year but had to postpone as well.

Now that the roster is almost complete for this year I hope it won’t be to long to see uwgb to start announcing its first non conference game. Some teams have there non conference schedule almost complete LSU is near complete. Arizona is pretty close to complete as well.

No reason why we shouldn’t have a home and home with Akron now right? Former president and AD are there now....
Also hopefully with the hiring of Shaka Smart to Marquette and his ties to the state, we can get a game with them every year.

Three games against mid major teams in St. Pete Florida is a good first step for the non conference schedule.
It seems like forever ago that GB played in a bracketed tournament. I hope these are a consistent addition to the schedule moving forward.

Kansas State on December 12th. A very poor team last year. I would call this a great buy game for Green Bay.

I wrote a little blurb on what we know so far: phearthephoenix.com/2021/05/19/schedule-details-slowly-starting-to-emerge/11/18-11/21 - 3 games vs TBA (Jersey Mike’s MTE) 12/12 - at Kansas State 12/22 - at Minnesota 4 games left to schedule by my count. Not sure of the status of the Northern Iowa, Montana State, or Northern Illinois games that were all on the schedule at one point or another last year but didn’t end up happening. Also potential for a game or two in the Horizon-Summit Challenge if that is actually happening.

@umkc on 12/10 per the Press Gazette article on Tutu. It’s a home and home with UMKC. They are coming to GB in 22.

Kansas State on December 12th. A very poor team last year. I would call this a great buy game for Green Bay. IIRC, beating K State back in the day was the beginning of Green Bay's rise at the D1 level. It would be great to do it again.

They usually play Wisconsin but maybe this year the contract is a off year and they don’t play each other. St. Norbert is always a good d3 game if they have to have one of those games.

I mentioned it in the UW game thread from last season and I feel the same way today. GB should not schedule UW for the time being. It's not a good series for them unless a home game will come from it. Otherwise losing by double digit points to the favorite team in the state is a sure way to signal GB isn't worth watching until maybe March.
With 28 confirmed games so far I will be extremely disappointed if a D3 game is on the schedule. They no longer need to find 13 to 15 non conference games. They need to find 9 and they should all be D1 as the program has managed to find 9 D1 non conference games every year before this. Another fast way to alienate fans and signal you are small time is playing non D1 games. No fans take those games seriously or want to pay for them.
