GB has there work cut out for them but wouldn’t count them out of it at all.

He would be an amazing recruit for GB. With the other young players they have Short is the type of player that gives them a chance to win tournament games.

Right in our backyard, need to land him. I have not heard a lot about him. Has offers from USC and Virginia Tech which will be hard to compete with BUT both of those schools have offered several other centers/forwards. So far GB has only one offer out there in 22 and he’s it. Seems like GB is zeroing in on their guy.

There hasn't been a lot of buzz about Short's recruiting lately. It seems he has dropped off the radar a little bit based on some of the schools recently showing interest. He didn't get a lot of minutes during this past AAU season, he was on a very loaded guard heavy team. By all accounts he is still the same prospect just with less big school buzz. I would still love for Short and Paveletzke to commit this fall and be the foundation of another really good high school class for GB.

Linc Darner had 3 guys leave in 2020 that he wasn't expecting to leave.
Will Ryan had almost the entire team leave in 2021.
I have no doubt guys will move on after this year too. The one time transfer waiver rule is making that the new norm. I wouldn't wait around until the spring to find new players if I was a college coach.
I think Coach Ryan has done a pretty good job making it apparent that he isn't forcing anyone out of GB so the players don't have to play scared of losing their spot. GB has offered 3 guys for 2022 in a class that has 10ish WI guys that would normally fit for GB. It seems they have prioritized a few guys that will fit the team for when spots inevitably open.

Wow, I watched this kid since he was in 5th grade. Worked himself in to a serious high skill prospect. If he stays focused, he could be special in the Horizon League. Will Ryan continues to build relationships and land high caliber in state recruits.

A 6’10” guy in the Horizon League? He should have the time to develop with Tutu, Cem being already here therefore he can work on his craft
All in all, this is super exciting for the program. Coach Ryan made Donovan priority number 1 from the beginning. USC who? Virginia Tech? O yeah and that crappy school from Milwaukee. Just too name a few.
Go Green Bay!

Donavan committing to GB is great news. He was a high priority recruit and that was rewarded. GB is a really good fit for his game IMO. I believe he will have a great career and be a matchup issue in the league once he gets a little experience under his belt. Plus having the ability to hit for the perimeter at his height is going to be really big.
Overall this is a great start to the class of 2022!
