Not to take away from Short but this story says that Donovan Short is the highest ranked recruit ever at Green Bay. Is that really the case? I remember being thrilled about Ryan Tillima and a few others. What do you think?

I remember being thrilled about Ryan Tillima and a few others. What do you think? Tony Bennett is easily the highest rated recruit in program history. Short may be the highest rated big man recruit though. I'd put his offers list ahead of Alec Brown, and that's pretty good company.

It's nice to have the LOI official. Donavan is a key part of the puzzle in the rebuild effort.

This man will be the savior of the program. Right now we need someone with big time D1 talent and it appears we finally got it. I best see him starting Game 1 next year. Also, nice we finally have some height after Darner had us sit there with 6' 7" centers who stood no chance against the likes of Loudon Love. The key now is getting some good talent around the man to continue the build.

He needs a year to get stronger and adjust to the D1 game IMO.

My hope is that his ability to play on the perimeter will make him a factor next year while he continues to put on weight and adjust to the physicality of the D1 level. I also think it will benefit him a ton learning by playing. That seemed to help Kamari and Cade make great strides this year.

I was reading some track results and I saw that Short jumped 6'4". That is pretty impressive for a 6'10" kid.

Hope he shows up to GB in the fall, with 10 extra pounds and maybe an extra inch in height just with the natural growing process with a little weight room work thrown in.
