Green Bay has not won at Youngstown State in 4 years and quite frankly none of those games were even competitive.
Things we have going for us though: 1. YSU coming off an overtime loss to MKE 2. Amari Davis had only 4 points against CSU, has to bounce back. 3. Team is riding a 3 game win streak.
Things that will decide this game: 1. Not letting Quisenberry drive to the hoop for easy buckets. 2. YSU will go on a few runs, GB has to be able to answer. They did a great job against CSU in this regard. 3. Keep Naz Bohannon off the offensive glass. Manny should be well rested since he didn't play at all in the second half against CSU 4. 3 point defense, if we aren't going to make em, gotta defend them.
Green Bay has a real chance to make some noise if they can pull this game off. But which team will show up?

So predictable. Always a bridesmaid never a bride. Season over.

So predictable. Always a bridesmaid never a bride. Season over. Well, as I always say, there’s that long weekend in early March...

Entertaining game to watch. The stupid turnovers in the first half kept GB from blowing the game open. Still pissed about the phantom "jump ball" call late when Manny was standing all alone with the ball. Down the stretch GB could not get enough stops and kept YSU in it.
This isnt a good GB team but still one with enough to be 3-4 in this league. Heck, somebody has to take 2nd and get a birth in the semi-finals. Anything can happen in March and this team needs to find a way to get at least one at home next weekend.

Lots to clean up when they watch the tape. It shouldn't be this hard to get a win with this team. Some guys played like it was November and they haven't learned a thing yet. I thought GB would handle the press better at the end.

So predictable. Always a bridesmaid never a bride. Season over. In 2016 when GB won the Horizon League, they lost by 20 at YSU... but sure. Whatever you say.

Calhoun flat-out outcoached Linc In what regard? I have my thoughts but a lot of them are mostly Linc out coaching himself with some of the strategy. I am pretty sure YSU's strategy wasn't to let Devin Morgan chuck up 25 foot 3 pointers. Not related to Linc but something that frustrates me to no end is touch fouls. Kam picked up his fourth foul reaching in on someone he wasn't covering down low. Dude you are the primary defense on Quisenberry and he was doing a great job making him work. Don't get sucked into that junk. Your job is to limit Quisenberry or Antoine Davis or any other top shelf guard in this league. Quisenberry was more effective when Kam came out. Related to Linc the other thing that frustrates me is the instant switching defense that they do on the perimeter with their smaller lineup. For example Bell was guarding Naz. He would switch so easily and leave PJ or other guards with Naz in the post. They should switch when they can't get through not just because a screen is coming. Instantly switching is so lazy. People think our coach is named Linc Arner because the D has been gone for 5 years and I see this kind of stuff and understand their point.

Perhaps you worded it better, though, that would still mean Calhoun outcoached him, in a sense. The most mind-boggling maneuver was the Jayquan shot at the end of regulation. Plenty of time to draw up a play and get him to the hoop, instead, everyone stood still and he took an ill-advised jumper at the top of the key. I think the players are smarter than to just stand there, so something tells me Linc just told everyone to get out of his way. That ball has to be taken to the rack, plain and simple.

The last shot was a play out of the NBA handbook to be sure. I was disappointed he didn't go all the way to the hoop as well. I wasn't trying to be difficult in asking about the coaching. I am mostly curious what others see that they like or don't like. I didn't think YSU was doing anything special for most of the game, though their last play in regulation to get a layup for Quisenberry was well executed.
