My biggest schedule take away is that the 5 game home stand is in early January during peak Packers playoff time. The 5 game road swing is in a dead time in GB for sports that has normally been good for GB's attendance. The athletic department has some work to do on getting the message out for those early games and then keeping people engaged with 5 of the last 7 on the road. They will go 25 days between home games in February.
Overall I don't think it is too bad. I also think GB is in the frame for several ESPN home games on Friday night which will be great exposure. If they get the NKU vs GB at the Kress on national TV that place better be rocking!

The schedule came out for the women's basketball team today. They also get a 5 game road swing to "enjoy."
The item that stood out is they are playing home games on 2/27 and 2/29, just like the men are. The 2/27 tip time is TBD. The 2/29 tip time is 2pm. If the Krash the Kress game is on 2/29 it is possible to see a women's game from 2 to 4, a pregame party from 4 to 7 and a men's game from 7pm to 9pm. That is an interesting twist.
As for the game on 2/27, I hope they don't start at the same time as the men. Given the production resources I doubt they will. Still I mention this because the women have a great program and the men are working their way back up to great. Dividing the attention of the GB faithful, even given there is not 100% of crossover of fans, would be less than ideal IMO.

If your going to pay Michigan Tech to come down for a "secret scrimmage", why not just play it as a 2nd exhibition and make a few bucks off tickets?

I can't say that I understand why they are scheduling something like this but I'm sure there is a reason.
Looking at Goodman's list there are maybe 10 non D1 secret scrimmage partners. It feels small time even if it isn't really important.

It appears that the CSUN/Colgate game has been moved up to 4PM. Not sure how big the turnout will be but I am glad they moved it. They will get a beer or two out of me for it

Preseason favorites in the patriot league although they have looked to struggle with some of the Power 5 teams. Auburn destroying them is somewhat encouraging considering Auburn plays the same style as GB.
